Now today as we enter the 21st century this alloy is becoming even more popular with architects and designers as they develop new ways of cladding buildings. A fine example of this work as we enter the 21st century is the new Parliamentary Building, Portcullis House, which was officially opened by the Queen on 27 February 2001. This prestigious building is a wonderful example of a 5000 year old refined material in ever greater demand to this day.
